Libby Turella, a junior at Sequim high School, is the Sequim Elks Lodge’s Student of the Month for April 2023.

The daughter of Kirsti and Stephen Turella, Libby is originally from Steilacoom before her family moved to Sequim about 10 years ago.

Turella maintains a 4.0 grade-point-average; her current courses are UW Chemistry, World History, Honors Algebra II, Ceramics II, Spanish II and Honors Language Arts. She is active in Honor Society and the Superintendent Student Council.

Turella plays varsity basketball and soccer. She is interested in women’s college basketball, traveling and reading.

Her future plans include attending a four-year university then medical school to become an anesthesiologist.
