Milestone: Sequim Food Bank gets boost from Sequim Association of Realtors

The Sequim Food Bank recently received a donation of $10,800 from the Sequim Association of Realtors.

The association, made up of real estate agents and those in mortgage, construction, title/escrow, insurance, design and other related businesses, raised funds from Nov. 1-Dec. 31, with Peninsula Mortgage acting as fundraiser chair.

Association members donated cash, checks, credit card transactions and food. Members had contests amongst each other, including “matching” donations.

The association capped the fundraiser with a Peninsula Mortgage holiday mixer ,where the agents could come and donate to the food bank for a chance to play a dart game that won them prizes donated by the community.

“Peninsula Mortgage is the chair again next year and I know we’ll raise even more,” noted Nikki Stevenson, vice president at Peninsula Mortgage.
