Each year, Soroptimist International of Sequim presents two distinguished awards to two of their members.
This year, Paulette Hill was the recipient of the Woman of Distinction Award and Linda Naylor received the President’s Award.
Theawards are based on commitment to the mission statement of Soroptimist group, their dedication and work supporting fundraising and endeavors to showcase the organization.
Hill and her husband donated soups, cookies and rolls for the Garden Show Café for five years running. The past two years, she has been part of the group’s Virtual Garden Show, headed up the garden show webinars and served on the Garden Show Auction Committee. She was identified as “flexible, caring, with grace and lots of humor,” Soroptimist members noted.
Naylor was recognized by the organization’s president for her conscientiousness to locate past scholarship recipients. This project was part of the organization’s 75th celebration and to showcase the benefits of scholarships and how they changed the lives of the recipients. Naylor’s commitment identified numerous success stories, Soroptimist representatives said.
