Soroptimist International of Sequim recently named JoNell Hill as the organization’s October 2020 Girl of the Month.

Hill, a senior at Sequim High School, actively volunteers in the community with several nonprofits, including the Sequim Food Bank, Dungeness Seafood and Crab Festival, Lavender Weekend and the SHS “Boo Hunger” food drive.

In addition to her volunteer activities, Hill has been a member of Sequim High School’s golf team for the last four years and is SHS’s senior class treasurer.

Like many students this time of year, she is applying to various colleges, Soroptimist representatives said. Hill plans to major in psychology with the goal of becoming a high school guidance counselor.
