Soroptimist International of Sequim recently named Olivia Preston as the group’s January’s Girl of the Month.

Preston has been on honor roll since the sixth grade, lettered in tennis and cheer, and is active with the Associated Student Body.

In addition, she is a student representative for the Sequim School Board and is a volunteer with the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Her college of choice is Vanderbilt University and will be majoring in political science.

She said she hopes to become a criminal defense attorney and make positive contributions to the judicial system.
