Milestone: Sequim’s Bullard serves as page in Olympia

Sequim High School student Georgia Bullard served as a page in the Washington State House of Representatives in early February.

She was sponsored by State Rep. Steve Tharinger, D-Port Townsend.

Bullard, the child of Rebecca Bullard of Sequim, enjoys reading, politics, science, debate and learning in school.

Pages assume a wide variety of responsibilities, from presenting the flags to distributing amendments on the House floor. They also support the efficient operation of the Legislature while also receiving daily civics instruction, drafting their own bills, and participating in mock committee hearings.
