Several Olympic Peninsula residents earned degrees from Western Governors University, as announced by the school following WGU’s commencement ceremonies earlier this month.
They include Sequim’s Beth Gilson , who earned a master’s degree in Science, Curriculum and Instruction, and Kathleen Sayles, who earned a master’s degree in Science-Nursing (Nursing Informatics, BSN to MSN).
Laura Dotlich, Ashley Payne and Travis Russell of Port Angeles also earned WGU degrees: Dotlich, a master’s degree in Science-Nursing; Payne, a master’s degree in Arts in Teaching/Elementary Education, and Russell, a bachelor’s degree in Science-Business (Information Technology Management). Heather Frank of Port Townsend earned a bachelor’s degree in Science-Nursing.
