Soroptimist International of Sequim recently presented Ella Sheppard, left-center, and Mike Flynn, right-center, of St. Vincent de Paul a check for $1,904.86 from the recent shredding Soroptimist fundraiser.

Funds will be used to assist families and individuals struggling from the financial effects of COVID-19.

Cat Xander, left, and Colleen Blazier, co-chairs of the event, presented the check. Funds were raised from a June 27 shredding event.
