Soroptimist International of Sequim recently honored Amanda Dodson and Kiara Pierson as October’s Girls of the Month.

Dodson, left, participates in advanced placement and honors classes and has developed a passion for science. She is aspiring to major in chemistry and pursue her Bachelor’s Degree.

Pierson is the ASB president at Sequim High School, takes advance placement classes and is applying to the United States Military Academy and United States Naval Academy with the desire to fulfill her interest in engineering and serving her country.

Soroptimist International of Sequim also awarded its 2017 Vocational Technical Award to Alicia Clark. Clark, pictured with her daughter, is a resident of Sequim, works part-time as a barber and is enrolled full-time as a nursing student.
