Soroptimist International of Sequim recently recognized Alissa Lofstrom, left, and Eva Lofstrom with their Girls of the Month awards.

The Sequim High School students are twins and are active in their school government, volunteering in the community and have an active interest in the environment.

Both will be attending college and are looking at various institutions throughout the Pacific Northwest, Soroptimist representatives said.
