Ava Kerr, living independently at The Vintage in Sequim since 2007, celebrated her 104th birthday on Nov. 29 with about 45 well-wishers. The center’s staff said she remains active, attending bingo twice a week, plus other activities. She was born Nov. 29, 1912, some eight years before women won the right to vote, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
