In its new Maier Hall Concert Series, Peninsula College offers four Tuesday evening (7 p.m.) concerts during the school year.
Peninsula College music director Dr. David Jones said he had been thinking of a new classical music series and, with the opening of the new Maier Performance Hall, the time was ripe.
The inaugural concert features Ensemble Electra, which specializes in music of the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as newly composed work for recorder, harpsichord and cello.
Later concerts include the Bottom Line duo (Nov. 13); Wood ‘N’ Flutes (Feb. 26, 2012) and Helena Krimsky and Loran Olsen (April 23, 2013).
Cost for the entire series is $50. Tickets for individual concerts are $15, students $5.
