NOLS hosting book discussion groups in August

Check out a book club — virtually — during the month of August.

The North Olympic Library System hosts four virtual Book Discussion Group meetings monthly. Registration through nols.org/book-discussion-groups is required to receive the Zoom meeting info, but all are welcome to participate.

Paperback copies of the upcoming book selections will be available for pick up any time after the current month’s discussion, during curbside service hours at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., or Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.,on a first-come, first-served basis. Copies in other formats such as large print, book on CD, and eBook may also be available to request through the NOLS catalog.

The August schedule includes:

• 2nd Tuesday Book Discussion Group — “Mozart’s Starling” by Lyanda Lynn Haupt, 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 10; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library

• 2nd Saturday Book Discussion Group — “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer, 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14; paperback copies available at Sequim Library

• Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group — “Before I Go to Sleep” by S.J. Watson, 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25; paperback copies available at Sequim Library

• Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group — “The Story of More” by Hope Jahren, 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library
