NOLS offers free planter box kits

As part of the Summer Reading Program, the North Olympic Library System (NOLS) invites youths to build their own planter or toolbox using kits available for pick up beginning Monday, June 21.

The kits are designed for children of ages 4-12 to build with an adult. Boxes can be used as a planter, tool box, book crate or other items.

“This building project is an opportunity for kids and adults to connect with each other by talking, learning, and creating together,” NOLS representatives said.

Follow along with provided instructions and a demonstration of how to assemble the kit on NOLS’ Facebook or YouTube. Hammers are not provided.

Limited kits are available; call a local branch to check on availability.

Kits were created by Glen Humphrey of the Wood Connection, utilizing material generously provided by Angeles Millwork.
