NOLS Summer Reading Program launches

The North Olympic Library System launches its Summer Reading Program on Wednesday, June 25, with free presentations of “Explore Space with the Pacific Science Center.”

What would the Big Dipper look like from the other side of the universe? How much would you weigh on Venus? Discover answers to these questions and more through hands-on astronomy activities.

Educators from the Seattle-based Pacific Science Center will guide kids and teens through interactive experiences exploring meteorites, constellations and the wonders of space science.

Presentations will take place at 10 a.m. at Olympic Peninsula Academy, 400 N. Second Ave. in Sequim and at 3 p.m. at the Port Angeles Main Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
