The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is inviting teens in grades 7-12 to join the organization’s Teen Advisory Board, and “help shape their library.”
Members of the Teen Advisory Board, library representatives say, gain leadership skills while collaborating with library staff and peers from around the county to plan teen events and “help make the library a fun, supportive, and engaging place for teens.”
Sign up online at nols.org/tab or by talking with library staff.
Teen Advisory Board members will meet in person at their local branch once per month from January-May and September-December, and three times per year on Zoom with members from all NOLS branches.
Teen Advisory Board monthly meeting schedule:
• Sequim Library: First Thursdays, 5-6 p.m.
• Port Angeles Library: Second Tuesdays, 5-6 p.m.
• Forks Library: Second Fridays, 5-6 p.m.
• Clallam Bay Library: First Thursdays, 3-4 p.m.
In addition, the group meets virtually on Zoom from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on three Fridays: Jan. 20, April 21 and Oct. 20.
Participants need to have a library card with a birth date listed to register.
Those interested in joining the Teen Advisory Board but do not have a library card can sign up for a temporary card at nols.org or get assistance from a library staffer.
This program is supported by local Friends of the Library groups.
