Nursery hosts annual ‘Paws in the Garden’ benefit

Paws in the Garden: Artists for Animals runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at Vision Landscape Nursery, 131 Kitchen-Dick Road, Sequim.

 

Artists’ display fees and a portion of all Vision Landscape sales for the weekend are donated to animal groups, including Peninsula Friends of Animals, Olympic Peninsula Humane Society, Welfare for Animals Guild and Critter Haven.

 

Artists represent many media, even music and culinary arts. Registered so far are Charitable Art, Walter Massey Copper, Handmade Wood Furniture, Heidi Marie Jewelry design, organic sustainable food art by Kathryn Kitts of Sweet Beginnings Café and pet adoptions and support from Peninsula Friends of Animals and the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society.

 

Tracey Lanning, animal communicator and psychic medium, will appear both days and donate all fees to the animal groups.

Gentle pets are welcome on a leash or carried on the back lawn areas and on gravel pathways.
