William Davis Lilley Jr.
December 7, 1951 – May 17, 2017
William Davis Lilley Jr. passed away in Gardiner on May 17, 2017. He had been suffering from C.O.P.D. and cardiomyopathy.
Bill was born on December 7, 1951, in San Diego, California, to William D. Lilley Sr. and Barbara (Logsden) Lilley. He attended Kearney High School in San Diego and moved to Sequim in 1983.
Bill was a volunteer firefighter and First Responder in Blyn and Gardiner. He was the voice of the Discovery Bay Salmon Derby for several years. He was the first President of the Sequim VFW Men’s Auxiliary, and was a Vice-President of the N.O.P Footprinters’ Assn. He sponsored several Iron Man golf tournaments and emceed several motorcycle rodeos, relays and barbecues.
He is survived by his wife, Celeste J. (Persley) Lilley, his brother Donald E. Lilley of Carson City, his son William D. Lilley III, and his daughter Amber Lilley Chuiminato, both of San Diego, and two grandchildren.

Diane Whitney
April 8, 1943 – June 12, 2017
Diane was born April 8, 1943 to Marie (Slette) and Wade Brown. She passed away in Seattle due to complications from Calciphylaxis, a rare painful disease primarily in dialysis patients which Diane was not.
She grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho and also lived in Centralia and Seattle, Washington.
She married Mike Whitney in 1964 and they moved to Las Vegas where they had 4 children. They moved to Sequim in 1983.
She is survived by her husband Mike, sons Jim and Ron (Tina), daughters Tami (Duke) Reeder and Kelli (Tom) Graves, sister Judy (Russ) Gill and brother Doug (Jeannie) Brown.
Diane loved spending time with her grandchildren Lindsay, Jodi, Kristi, Isaiah, Nathan, Sarah, Keeshawn and Carli. She also loved her great-grandsons Blake and Rylan.
She will be greatly missed by her aunts, stepmother, nieces and nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-parents, brother Gary, and sisters Marla and Janis.
Diane loved Elvis, creating homemade cards, Facebook, Scrabble, Avon, and the ocean beaches. Mom, you took a part of our hearts when you left us, but we know we carry a part of you with us always.
