The Olympic Peninsula Authors group next week hosts the first of four autumn events that highlight 30 local authors.
The group holds a launch party for the publication of their second anthology, “In the Words of Olympic Peninsula Authors, Volume II” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave.
The free event is open to the public.
Edited by Heidi Hansen and Linda B. Myers, the 300-plus-page book includes short stories, prose and poems by local authors who are awarding-winning, published, and/or newly recognized for their talent. All selections in the book involve life on the Olympic Peninsula in one way or another.
The anthology will be available for purchase at $20, tax included.
Attendees can ask questions of all the authors and have their books signed. Beverages may be purchased; light refreshments will be served.
