OMC Foundation donates $55K for medical equipment

The Olympic Medical Center Foundation presented $55,000 to OMC at the hospital board commissioner’s meeting on March 3, with funds to purchase Biofire testing equipment for COVID-19 and other diseases, and for radiation equipment that will serve urology, diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology at the cancer center.

In addition, OMC Foundation exEcutive Director Bruce Skinner said the foundation raised a record $97,000 during its recent Red, Set, Go event, which means that the Foundation has already donated/raised $319,000 this year to or on behalf of OMC.

An additional $3,000 came in for the annual fundraising luncheon after totals were announced, Skinner said.

“We’ve said this many times this year – the community has been extremely generous,” he said.

Persons interested in more information or in making a donation to the Foundation can call the OMC Foundation office at 360-417-7144, or by emailing to bruce@omhf.org. Or, mail donations to 1015 Georgiana St., Port Angeles, WA 98362.

“We hope that many local people will become a part of our fundraising efforts,” OMC Foundation president Sherry Philips said.
