Open house, art show benefits North Olympic Land Trust

An open house and artist meet-and-greet benefiting North Olympic Land Trust is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19. at Alder Wood Bistro, 139 W. Alder St., Sequim.

A corresponding art show — “Through Their Eyes: Love Where You Live” — opens Feb. 9 and continues through the end of March.

More than 20 artists have donated pieces of varying mediums for the exhibition. Thanks to the artists and the support of bistro owners Gabriel and Jessica Schuenemann, all proceeds from the show benefit local land conservation efforts.

On Feb. 19, artists will be on hand to chat about their pieces and the inspiration they each glean from their local surroundings. Wines courtesy of Wind Rose Cellars will be available, as well as “wine bites” from Alder Wood Bistro and chocolate produced by local chocolatier Yvonne Yokota.
