The Peninsula College Drama Department is seeking participants in the “Find Your Voice” play festival June 6-7 when original plays by students and community residents are staged in the college’s Little Theater.

Drama professor Lara Starcevich holds acting auditions today, April 23, and Thursday, April 24, to select actors who will have parts in plays that will be presented at the festival. Audition times are from 6-8 p.m. each evening in the Little Theater, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

The festival is part of the college’s annual Student Arts Week. Everyone is welcome to audition.

According to Starcevich, “You don’t need to have any prior experience onstage. You just need a willingness to put it out there and be ready to have some fun and try something new.”

Actors of all genders, heights, backgrounds, ages, shoe size, and eye colors are needed, she said. Those who come should be prepared to do a cold reading of a short piece, which will be provided. No memorization is necessary for the audition.
