Painting Silk Demo at the MAC

The Museum & Arts Center in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley presents a free painting on silk demonstration with artist Renne Emiko Brock-Richmond (above) of unique as you on Saturday, Nov. 23.

The demo, held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the MAC Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St., Sequim, is free and open to the public with donations appreciated and light refreshments provided. Brock-Richmond, founder of the First Friday Art Walk Sequim and coordinator of the annual North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival, demonstrates how to create one-of-a-kind handcrafted art, apparel and pieces of flair. Several of her fiber works are showcased in the juried art exhibition “Strong Stitches – Friendship, Cooperation & Uniforms,” which remains on display at the MAC Exhibit Center through the end of the month.
