Pallet art workshop slated for April 14

To encourage participation in the Irrigation Festival Innovative Arts and Craft’s Innovative Reuse Showcase, several spring workshops have been devised for creative folks to take.

Brenda Root leads a Pallet Art Workshop from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in the Irrigation Festival Float Barn on the corner of Fifth Ave and Evergreen Way.

The $10 fee includes workshop materials.

Learn how to create a personalized sign out of wood pallet boards, and to paint a sign on boards including stenciling words and various creative techniques for finishing your sign. Participants will be able to select up to three pallet boards for a small, decorated sign.

Registration is required and payment at the door. To register for the workshop, email to info@irrigationfestival.com or call Lynn Horton at 360-808-5623.

Participants are encouraged to enter their pallet art or other creative repurposed works for the 2018 Innovative Reuse Showcase and Contest, set for May 4-6; details are at IrrigationFestival.com, or contacting Kelly Jo Hill at 360-461-3950 or JustAskKelly@olypen.com.
