Beginning Jan. 22, the Peninsula College Foundation will offer more than $100,000 in scholarships to students attending Peninsula College for the 2019-2020 school year.
Scholarships are available in the areas of nursing and medical assisting; automotive technology, welding and other vocational programs; science; education; language arts; music; business administration; students with financial need; scholarships for area tribal students; and more. Application deadlines vary, with the majority due Sunday, April 22.
Applicants are advised to check each scholarship’s deadline.
To apply for Peninsula College Foundation scholarships, follow these steps:
• Visit www.theWashBoard.org.
• Create a login and a personal profile.
• Enter “Peninsula College” in the search toolbar to review the list of all available PC and PC Foundation scholarships for the 2019-2020 school year.
• Application limit: There is no limit to the number an individual can apply for.
While the majority of Foundation scholarships will open for applications on Jan. 22, college officials urge interested students to check back often, as additional scholarships may become available.
Students are encouraged to start the process early as many scholarships require recommendation letters, personal essays, and unofficial transcripts to complete applications. Applications that are incomplete or submitted after the scholarship deadline will not be accepted.
Scholarship award notifications for general scholarships will be provided to students beginning May 20.
Students awarded nursing scholarships will be notified starting July 29.
