Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers celebrate with new CD release

Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers recently has finished production of its newest CD, “Fill-A Me Up.”

Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers recently has finished production of its newest CD, “Fill-A Me Up.” This CD features live recordings at the Spring Concert in Port Angeles High School and studio recordings by Jeremy Cays Productions in Carlsborg. On Friday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 N. Blake Ave., Sequim, there will be an official CD release concert.

The music on this CD includes songs with the Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers, the Crabfest Revival Choir and the PMGS Little Brass Band. It features well-known favorites such as: “What a Friend We Have In Jesus,” I’ll Walk With God” and “Abide With Me.” Additionally, there are many more songs, from choirs or as instrumentals and many great solos.

At this CD release concert, PMGS will perform most of the music on the CD. The concert also will include performances by the Crabfest Revival Choir and the Little Brass Band.

The concert is open to the public. Donations are accepted, but not required. The newest CD is available for sale ($15) as well as any of the other five CDs PMGS has produced. Multiples of those previous CDs also will be sold at a reduced rate.

Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers includes 19 singers, under the direction of Michael Rivers, with accompanist Penny Hall and sign language interpreter Karen Coles. The group is supported by donations.
