Pet Day Celebration 2025 set for Sept. 13

Free event for families and pets will be at Carrie Blake Park

Pet Emergency Group, a nonprofit working to establish after-hours emergency veterinarian care on the Olympic Peninsula, is hosting this year’s Pet Day Celebration, formerly hosted by KSQM. The event is planned for Saturday, Sept. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Carrie Blake Community Park in Sequim.

The celebration is open to all ages and all leashed pets. Free events include:

• Trivia Walk (like a fun run, but with trivia questions along the way)

• Pet Costume Contest with prizes

• Nonprofit presentations and adoptable dogs

• Canine demonstration

• Meet-and-greet with the peninsula’s new ER veterinarian

• Pet playground

• Pet photo booth

• Bingo with prizes

There will be 30-plus vendors including food and drinks, local art, pet products and services, and pet organizations.

Cheyenne Tuller, Pet Emergency Group’s event coordinator, said the event will offer something for everyone.

Pet Emergency Group is a volunteer-run nonprofit that was formed and is driven by the belief that no pet or its humans should suffer due to a lack of accessible, local, after-hours emergency pet care.
