Pharmacist discusses drug availability, pricing

Vivian Brown, Walgreens pharmacy manager, will present a free WOW! Working on Wellness forum entitled “Whitewater Navigation of Medications Today” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., in Sequim.

Brown sees this as a great opportunity for her to share what she has learned about the trajectory of the Market Priced Drug (MPD) program and drug availability and prices. She says that “this is a passion of mine that I’m delighted to share about with the public.”

Brown graduated from the Oregon State University School of Pharmacy and has worked in various venues and positions (independent and chain retail, staff and clinical hospitals, clinical drug studies and pharmacology instruction) in Arizona, Oregon, Washington and Saudi Arabia.

From 1:45-2:15 p.m. volunteer nurses will be available to check the blood pressure of anyone who may be interested.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health &Wellness Clinic.
