PHOTO: Tribe breaks ground on library expansion

A modest groundbreaking ceremony took place on Dec. 14 to celebrate the beginning of the construction/expansion of Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe’s Heron Hall Library.

The project — which will house a permanent exhibit covering the history of the tribe in many different aspects, a small theater area, larger reception area, room for tables to be set up for workshops and more —more than doubles the size of the current library. It will likely open sometime in 2023, tribe representatives said.
