PHOTOS: Dogs get their day at Walk and Woof 1k/5k

Sequim Gazette photo by Emily Matthiessen / 12-year-old pooch Marlee and Becca Yucha participated in the Sequim Dog Park fundraiser The Walk and Woof 1K/5K last Saturday during KSQM’s annual Pet Lovers Day on Sept. 10. “We did a lot of waggin’ and some walkin’ but not a lot of woofing,” Yucha said. According to Marcy Engelstein, chair of the Sequim Dog Park Pals a nonprofit organization, this year marks the 15th anniversary of the dog park and the first time they’ve done this type of big-fundraiser instead of a raffle. She said that they are raising money for benches and shelters. For information about donating to the park, visit sequimdogparks.org.
