The Port Angeles Symphony presents “Pops and Picnic,” a two-date event that asks participants to bring a picnic dinner while organizers provide music, popcorn, beverages and dessert.
Concerts are set for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, and 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Sequim Boys &Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.
The events include classic, patriotic and film music, jazz, musical theater and a special arrangement by Linda Dowdell for orchestra and jazz choir.
Guest artists include Jolene Dalton Gailey and Port Angeles High School Vocal Unlimited; violinist Lauren Rankin, winner of the 2017 Young Artist competition; tenor Mark Lorentzen and soprano Kristin K. Vogel.
