Dr. Loraine Lovejoy-Evans talks about “Controlling Joint, Muscle, and Nerve Pain” at the next free WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum, set for 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, on KSQM 91.5 FM.
Lovejoy-Evans earned her Doctorate at the University of Puget Sound in 2007 and is now a physical therapist at Olympic Medical Home Health in Port Angeles. Since 1993 — in a variety of settings — she has specialized in treating patients who are experiencing pain.
Lovejoy-Evans has worked on simplifying exercises to teach people how they can control their symptoms independently.
She works in home health where she finds these exercises to be quite helpful for many people. She also works with patients who are housebound and she specializes in managing their pain.
The Sequim Free Clinic website at sequimfreeclinic.org will have a worksheet with instructions from Lovejoy-Evans for how to use simple exercises to control your joint, muscle and nerve pain.
WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic — Sequim’s free clinic, which provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members.
Work is supported by more than 70 volunteers including physicians, other professional health care providers an laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.
The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 5 p.m. Individuals interested in supporting the clinic may call 360-582-0218.
