Red Yarn and friends perform at the Forks and Port Angeles libraries on Sept. 23 and the Sequim Library on Sept. 24.

Join Red Yarn and his barnyard friends at local libraries for a frolicking good time and live music.

Red Yarn and friends will be performing at three branches of the North Olympic Library System (NOLS): • 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, inside the Forks Library, 171 S. Forks Ave.; • 6-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, inside the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.; • 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the stage behind the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. (in case of inclement weather, the show will be held indoors at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.)

Red Yarn is Andy Furgeson, a family performer who weaves folk songs and puppetry into an engaging show for all ages. With his performances and folk-rock recordings, he shares positive values “while reinvigorating the American folklore tradition for younger generations,” show organizers note. Furgeson is a musician, puppeteer and educator based in Portland, Ore.
