Sequim actors star in P.A. Players’ ‘Damn Yankees’

Comedy runs to March 7

Port Angeles Community Players presents “Damn Yankees” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and at 2 p.m. Sundays through March 7 at the Community Playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

Sequim cast members include Sequim residents Kristin LaMoure, her son Gabe Smith, Ean Henninger, Ian McKelvie and Megan Wright. Valerie Lape is the musical director.

“Damn Yankees” is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross.

The story, based on Douglass Wallop’s novel “The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant,” is a modern retelling of the Faust legend of selling one’s soul to the devil. It is set in the 1950s in Washington, D.C., when the New York Yankees dominated major league baseball.

Tickets, $12, are at Odyssey Book Store, 114 W. Front St., Port Angeles, or online at pacommunityplayers.com. Tuesdays, tickets are half-price at the door. Students’ tickets are $6 at the door.
