Sequim artist selected for the Expressions Northwest show

Patricia Taynton, of Sequim, the artist of the 2009 “Lavender and Quail” poster and this year’s poster “Lavender Fields Forever” for the Sequim Lavender Farmers Association, has two pieces accepted for the Expressions Northwest juried show in Port Townsend.

 

There were 372 entries and Taynton’s were two of the 86 accepted pieces. There were entries from Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia.

 

Taynton has two media represented in the Port Townsend exhibit: a watercolor titled “Drift Tree” and a photograph titled “More Madrona.” She recently received a first-place award at the Equine Art 2011 show at Emerald Downs in Auburn. Her winning watercolor is titled “Hello Christy.”

 

Several of her works are exhibited through July at the Museum & Arts Center in the Dungeness Valley.

She exhibits with Sally Cays at the Gallery on the Walls at Sequim Vision Clinic, 128 E. Washington St.
