The 15th annual Art Port Townsend event — celebrating visual arts and writing — runs Aug. 2-Sept. 1.

Northwind Arts Center, 2409 Jefferson St., hosts free events, including a show of Northwest artists and an art lecture by the show’s juror David Lynx at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Two Sequim artists have works selected for the show. Painter Catherine Mix will exhibit “Red Barn at Sunrise”; photographer Robert Haspel shows “Bottle Optics.”

Writers invited to respond to works in the show will read their responses at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22.

A free Studio Tour runs from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Aug. 24-25, featuring 38 artists in the greater Port Townsend area. Visit to view art tour listings and maps.
