The Sequim High School Robotics Team hosts the group’s fifth-annual Luau & Auction, dubbed “Aloha Cruisin’,” set for 6-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the SHS cafeteria, 601 N. Sequim Ave.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The event includes a live and silent auction.

Tickets are $15 prior to the event (available at the SHS office), $20 at the door and $60 for a table of five.

Funds raised help pay for the expenses associated with FIRST Robotics Competitions (FRC), including but not limited to, component parts and materials, travel and event registrations.

Donations are accepted and are tax-deductible.

The Sequim robotics team members design and build a new robot each year to meet the unique FRC game challenges, and have won awards such as Innovation in Control, Excellence in Engineering, Creativity and Industrial Design.

Program representatives estimate annual team costs can come close to $20,000.
