Mark your calendars: The Community Back To School Fair is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the school district’s athletic field on West Fir Street.


Greywolf’s “Moving On” ceremony for fifth-graders is set for 2-2:45 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the school campus, 171 Carlsborg Road. Families of fifth-graders are invited to bring camp chairs or stand as students walk around the playfield to be celebrated; there will be time for individual photos with teachers at the end.


Helen Haller’s fifth grade “Moving On” ceremony is a drive-through set for noon-2 p.m. on Friday, June 17, in the Haller parking lot.

Haller recently held its first Cougar Shout Out Breakfast in more than two years! Each teacher nominated up to two students who exemplify the Big Three: Respectful, Responsible, Safe. Nominated students and their families enjoyed breakfast while the students were presented with their Shout Out Certificates.

Bike winners for Reading! Three Haller Cougars were chosen based on their extraordinary reading growth this year. Each student received a bike and a helmet donated by the Sequim Masonic Lodge. Bike winners were Isaac Malkasian (third grade, Emily Ellefson), Jaxon Strait (second grade, Sarah Sullivan) and Zayden Byant (first grade, Ione Marcy).


SMS’s “Moving On” ceremony is a drive-through at the school 301 W. Hendrickson Road, from 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16.
