HELEN HALLER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

As a Kid At Hope at Helen Haller, we are time traveling to our future in Kaylee Kinsey’s second-grade classroom! We are thinking of where we will be and what we will do!

When I grow up I want to be an inventor. I am going to go to college is Seattle. I want to get my master’s degree. — Cayden Meysenburg, age 8

When I grow up I want to be a veterinarian only for small animals though. Like cats and dogs. But if I’m going to be a veterinarian I will have to go to veterinarian school first. — Sophie Clayton, age 7

When I grow up I want to be a singer or a teacher. Because I would like to sing songs that I made up. And the reason for the teaching is I would like to work with kids. I might be something else though! — Harrison Kuh, age 7

When I grow up I’m going to be a teacher. I’m going to be a teacher for kindergarten. I’m going to college for four years. I’m going to the college in Port Angeles. — Genevieve Wakefield, age 7

Greywolf Elementary received 10 Dr. Seuss books to add to its library. The books were sent by the White House with this letter from Melania Trump, our First Lady of The United States.

“Dear Students,

I hope you had a wonderful summer and are excited to be back at school.

Getting an education is perhaps the most important and wondrous opportunity of your young lives. I encourage each one of you to take advantage of these special years while you are in school. Your education will be a lifelong pursuit that will sustain and carry you far beyond your wildest imaginations, if you will let it.

As I was thinking about your return to school, I wanted to send you a special gift. Dr. Seuss’s ‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go!’ is a book my son and I have read over and over again, and one that we want to share with all of you.

Remember, the key to achieving your dreams begins with learning to read. Find what you enjoy, anything that interests you, and read about it. Every page will take you on an exciting journey.

Please also remember that you are the future of America and that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Your education is the path to pursuing your happiness.

Never stop learning and challenging yourself, and never ever give up on your dreams.

I wish you all a great school year ahead.

Sincerely,

Melania Trump”
