The Clallam County Relay For Life is holding is annual event at Pioneer Park in Sequim from 3 p.m., July 28, to noon, July 29, at 387 E. Washington St., Sequim. There will be entertainment, games, vendors and live music at the event.

Relay For Life is a community gathering where everyone can participate in the fight against cancer. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life provides research funding, fights to increase federal funding to provide for early detection of cancers and improve access to care and support cancer patients. One out of three Americans will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

Relay For Life gives everyone the opportunity to fight back and to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

Considering the number of people afflicted, their loved ones, their caregivers and the cancer survivors, it is very clear that everyone is involved in this fight. The Relay For Life event honors those currently afflicted, those lost to cancer, those providing care to patients and those who have survived cancer.
