Singer-songwriter Stewart plays peninsula libraries

Join national award-winning children’s singer-songwriter Nancy Stewart for a fun-filled concert at one of three appearances at libraries on the Olympic Peninsula.

Stewart will perform at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., and at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St. On Friday, Dec. 15, Stewart will visit the Forks Library.

In addition to the concerts, Stewart will offer a workshop for early childhood educators and music professionals Thursday, Nov. 16, from 3-5 p.m., at the Port Angeles Library. During the workshop, she will offer tips on how to share music with young children. The workshop is free; preregistration is not required.

Stewart is a national award-winning musician who has been writing and performing for young children and their families for 20 years. This followed a successful, 15-year-long career as lead guitarist and vocalist with a nationally-known show band. Featuring original and traditional songs, Nancy’s nine CDs for children can be heard in schools, homes, and libraries across the country. Her performances are generously supported by the Friends of Sequim Library and Port Angeles Friends of the Library.
