SmileMobile coming to Sequim; all now for an appointment

The Arcora Foundation — SmileMobile, which travels the state offering dental services to children, pregnant women and family members (if capacity allows) who might not otherwise have access to dental care, will be in Sequim next week.

The SmileMobile is staffed by a dentist, clinic manager and dental assistant and will be parked at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St. The SmileMobile will provide dental examinations to children from birth up through high school age, pregnant/postpartum women and family members on Monday, Aug. 14, and Tuesday, Aug. 15. Treatment appointments will be scheduled the duration of the stay.

Apple Health is accepted and a sliding fee scale is offered, based on family income and size.

The SmileMobile is operated by the Arcora Foundation (formerly Washington Dental Service), a nonprofit organization created and partially funded by Delta Dental of Washington in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital.

The SmileMobile, which travels the state year-round providing services ranging from exams and preventive care to fillings and minor oral surgery, has examined and treated more than 40,000 youngsters in communities throughout Washington.
