Studium Generale sets winter series

Peninsula College’s Studium Generale series presents 10 programs during the 2014 winter quarter.

Community members are invited to attend the weekly presentations free of charge.

 

Programs are held each Thursday at 12:35 p.m. in the college’s Little Theater on the main campus in Port Angeles. The winter 2014 quarter opens Jan. 2 with a presentation by Tyler Reid of Pacific Alpine Guides on “Climbing and Skiing in the Olympic Mountains.” The final 2014 winter quarter Studium presentation is March 6.

 

On Jan. 16, Ian Miller of Washington Sea Grant presents “Dams and Dirt: The Coastal Response to the Elwha Dam Removal.” Miller describes how researchers are tracking the response of coastal systems and detail their findings.

 

On Jan. 23, Elaine Grinnell and Ted Noel present “The Spiritual Aspects of Water.”
