Veterans Corner: Ceremony set at Pioneer Memorial Park

There will be no ceremony at the U.S. Coast Guard base on Veterans Day. Because of restrictions from the pandemic and the large crowd that usually attends, it has been cancelled.

In response to the Sequim Prairie Garden Club asking questions, Jack Grennan Post 62 of the American Legion and Michael Trebert Chapter-NSDAR are hosting a Veterans Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Pioneer Memorial Park, 387 E. Washington St. It will also be streamed on the Veterans Center Facebook page at

This will be a simple ceremony to honor veterans with masks and social distancing enforced.

If you have questions, please contact the Post Commander at Thank you to garden club members for the use of the park.
