Volunteer hospice continues ‘Empower Yourself’ series

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County (VHOCC) is continuing its “Empower Yourself: Practical Tools for Living Alone” series of workshops, offering support and advice to people newly or soon-to-be bereaved who are facing new challenges.

The series, started in May, continues from 2-3:30 p.m. on Wednesday June 30, with a Zoom session by Karen Hallis about consumer protection and fraud prevention.

The last session, focusing on self-care, will be in person in Port Angeles on July 14 and will be facilitated by Debby Smith and Margaret Bourne-Raiswell.

These three presenters are longtime VHOCC volunteers and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to these workshops, program organizers say.

The series is free to the public. In-person sessions are limited to a small group and require masks to respect current meeting guidelines.

Register for the sessions by calling VHOCC at 360-452-1511 or by emailing to office@vhocc.org.
