Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County offers a free, weekly online grief support group this month.

Sessions are 2-3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, April 13-May 18.

Enrollment will be limited to allow for more sharing of feelings and experiences, organizers say.

Group facilitator Donna Geer has a professional coaching certification and is currently the advisor to veteran students at Peninsula College and the owner of Shore Pine Productions. Her experiences with death and dying, VHOCC representatives say, help her appreciate the importance of providing a safe place to talk about the death of a loved one.

Since 1978, VHOCC has been providing free hospice services to patients and their families in Clallam County. Part of VHOCC’s mission is to offer grief support groups, not only to families of hospice patients, but to anyone in the community who has experienced the death of a loved one.
