Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County (VHOCC) offers a volunteer orientation from 11 a.m.-noon Thursday, Sept. 6, in Carlsborg. Call 360-775-7806 for directions.

Another orientation is set for 10-11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at 810 Albert St., Port Angeles.

The orientations are recommended prior to registering for the Community Education and Volunteer Training Series starting Sept. 19.

VHOCC holds monthly orientations for anyone interested in volunteering with the organization — the first Thursday of every month in Carlsborg, and the first Friday of every month in Port Angeles.

VHOCC has been serving the community for 40 years, providing end-of-life nursing care, lending medical equipment and supplies, offering education programs, grief support groups, one-on-one bereavement services and specialized workshops on living alone.
