AARP TAX-AIDE is looking for new volunteers to prepare federal income tax returns for the upcoming tax season. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.
TAX-AIDE volunteers provide free tax return preparation and electronic filing for low- and middle-income members of our community. Training begins in December, using training materials and software provided by the IRS.
All volunteers must attend training classes and pass the IRS Tests before assisting taxpayers during the tax season. The TAX-AIDE program is sponsored by the AARP Foundation and the IRS, but one does not need to be an AARP member or retiree to volunteer, or to receive tax preparation services from AARP TAX-AIDE.
Complete an online application at aarp.org/taxaide. Once the application is processed, a local coordinator will be in touch.
