The weekend opens awash in aqua, the theme color for this month’s First Friday Art Walk Sequim from 5-8 p.m. May 3. Fine art, music, noshing and fun beckon walkers on the free, self-guided tour. Aqua attire/accessories are encouraged!

These venues will be part of the art walk on May 3:
• Sequim Arts’ 37th annual International Juried Show is at The Museum & Art Center, 175 W. Cedar St., with a reception from 5-8 p.m. on First Friday and awards ceremony at 6 p.m. The 86 works selected by juror Barbara Sampson, a watercolorist and teacher from Westport, are all for sale. In addition to providing a network and education for local artists, the organization also assists Sequim and Clallam County school arts programs, including awarding scholarships each year to graduating seniors who intend to pursue art as a career. www.sequimarts.org.
• Skip Kratzer’s “Car Art and More” is at Sunshine Cafe, 145 W. Washington St., along with works by Tim Quinn. There’s also music by singers Judy Clark and Mario Lambarena and chef’s choice snacks.
• The Blue Whole Gallery hosts a reception from 5-8 p.m. for its featured artists Carol Janda (watercolor, ceramics) and Lynne Armstrong (acrylics) at 128 W. Washington St.
• Art by JWyatt is on display at Pacific Mist Books, 121 W. Washington St. Meet guest author Judith Pasco, whose “somewhere for my soul to go” narrates the birth of the Mujeres de Maiz Foundation. Refreshments by Cameron’s Cafe and Custom Catering and We Do Fine Fudge.
• Sally Cays and Patricia Taynton’s artwork will be at Gallery on the Walls, 128 E. Washington St. Meet the artists on First Friday.
• See works of many local artists and meet featured artist Suzy Killins at The LARC Gallery, 166 E. Bell St. Reception 5-8 p.m.
• Tim Snyder’s photographic art of local scenes is at The Rainshadow Roasting Company, 157 W. Cedar St.
• Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St. presents Henning Erben’s artwork, wine tasting and entertainment by Howly and Sandy.
• Saundra Cutsinger’s contemporary acrylic paintings are featured at The Red Rooster Grocery, 134½ W. Washington St. Meet the artist on First Friday.

• Skip Kratzer’s “Amazing Car Art and More” is at The Good Book, 108 W. Washington St., Sequim.
• Sequim Fresh Seafood, 540 W. Washington St., displays the works of Shirley Mercer, Jim Gift and Donna Standerwick.
• Roger Morris’ photographic artwork will be on display at the Bank of America, Sequim branch, 114 S. Sequim Ave, through May.
• Strait Financial Advice exhibits Scott Erickson’s striking photographic scenes of the Southwest, Alaska and North Olympic Peninsula at 193 W. Cedar St.
• Photographer Donna Smith displays her work at Crumb Grabbers Bakery, 492 W. Cedar St.
• Olivia Bailey’s prints, drawings and watercolors are at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., through May.
• A new venue for the art walk, Phil Tauran Photography Studio & Gallery, 155 B W. Cedar St. launches May 3 with the theme of “Tree of Life.”
• Painter David Willis exhibits at the Olympic Theatre Arts at 414 N. Sequim Ave.
• Design by Thomas, 337 W. Washington St., shows works by local artists
• Clear Image Sequim, 518 N. Sequim Ave., showcases several artists including Randy Radock.
