Wellness forum to spotlight eye disease issues

Dr. Eric Van Orman will present “What Can You See?,” a WOW! Working on Wellness radio forum set for 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, on KSQM 91.5 FM.

Van Orman will discuss common ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease along with the latest treatments for these conditions.

Orman has been practicing optometry in Port Angeles since 1998, providing comprehensive eye examinations for glasses and contact lenses. He also offers patients the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and co-management with local ophthalmic surgeons.

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometric Physician of Washington.

Orman enjoys practicing optometry with modern, state-of-the-art technology such as Digital Retinal Imaging and Optic Nerve Fiber Layer Analysis to ensure the early detection and treatment of eye diseases, program organizers said.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic — Sequim’s free clinic, which provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. Work is supported by more than 70 volunteers including physicians, other professional health care providers an laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.
